Lindsay is the principal teacher at
Boogienights, and teaches at the Merlin venue. She set up the company in
2002, and has a background in modern jive, lindy hop and boogie
woogie. She now
focuses on her favourite dance style, West Coast Swing. She has an interest in choreography, and has a
wealth of experience and success within formation teams, wedding

Ross started dancing in 1997 at a local line dancing
class. He entered his first United Country and Western
Dance Competition in 2000, and has competed in various
competitions ever since. At
the 'Worlds 2006' he won teen novice Male ProAm, and in
2007 won Open Novice Male Line. He continues to win awards
both in UK and Europe. He trained
at Headliners Dance School in The Wirral with Steve and
Yvonne Dunn.

Dee is the
regular teacher at the Why Not Club, where she teaches a
beginners class. She has
been dancing West Coast Swing since 2006, and progressed into
teaching in 2008. Dee is hoping to start an Edinburgh
University West Coast Swing Society, bringing interest from the
student community. In addition to teaching you will also find
Dee acting as venue manager at the Merlin.

Neil started modern jive in 2005, and West Coast swing in 2006. He also has experience in Salsa, Ballroom and Argentine Tango. He
has been placed in a variety of West Coast Swing competitions
in the USA. These include UCWDC Worlds, Summer Hummer in
Boston, Rebel Swing in Minneapolis, Music City Dance in Nashville,
Orlando Dance Challenge, and the Big Apple Dance Festival
in New York.

Jennie and
Howie started dancing West Coast Swing in 2005. They
instantly loved the challenge of learning to dance, and enjoyed
the social side of the dance scene. They progressed very
quickly, and won the "Most improved couple" award in
2006! They now act as fill-in teachers at both venues, and are
always on hand to help beginners.
